Personally, the last time I visited Louisiana to tourist, it was to spend a week and a half or so in New Orleans over Halloween in around 2003. One of the best vacations I've ever taken, even if I DID spend a bit too much time drinking.
I haven't been back since Katrina, sadly. I'd like to see how the city is doing.
Next time I'm in Louisiana, I'll try to stop by.

WTF! I have plenty of family in Cane River but WTF is there to see in that area? Really?
