That may end up happening, but it will be because other opportunities never sufficiently matured. IF he truly intended to stay to 2025 or whatever, why no buyout in his contract? It would be worth more money if he would agree to a buyout. He hasn't agreed to it, ergo, he intends to leave.

Be thankful - even if he leaves after this year, ya'll will have had him 1 year longer than any place else.

Smart move on his part. You never know when something out of your control (ie rogue booster) gets the NCAA interested in cratering your program. No buyout leaves him an exit plan. Bidness is Bidness.
