Well you said we are not playing Big 12 defenses then I responded Franklin moved the ball on UGA, which is in fact an SEC defense. Im not sure how that doesnt counter your assertion?

You don't get points for moving the ball.

Mizzou backup qb has a fricking arm. James Franklin is in deep.

Franklins career as a starter is coming to an end. It may take some more time for it to be seen, but this time next year Berkstresser is the starter.

You said Franklins problems are him playing SEC defenses.

He moved the ball and put up points on UGA. I dont think that the answer to Franklins problems are necessarily playing "SEC defenses".

Im saying its a LOT more that that.

Maybe this program has gone as far as Gary Pinkel and his staff can take it. Maybe a new philosophy and coaching staff is what its going to take to fully adjust to life in the SEC.

I think that's a step too far. We all knew it was going to take time, none less than Pinkel. He has earned a few years at the least to get things moving in the SEC.

I just hope that if the staff goes that way they go all out and gameplan for Berkstresser all the way. The worst thing would to have a back and forth with Franklin and Berkstresser the rest of the year.

Go with who you think gives you the best chance to win and go to a bowl and then never look back.

With our shorthanded OL, its hard to tell if Franklin is not the guy to lead us. Berkstresser may be the kid to go to.

Im with you man. Im not saying we need to fire Pinkel. What im suggesting is that over the next couple years he needs to prove he can adjust or it needs to be on the table.

Yea. There are so many problems right now its a little silly to hang it all on the QB position. There is plenty of blame to go around right now.

Well, atleast we are recruiting decent Offensive linemen and Evan Boehm is a freshman

How awesome is Evan Boehm?

He is going to be a LEADER on our O Line and team moving forward. Campos, Bauer...we have some studs coming up in Misosuri in the '14 class as well we need to work on landing.

Well, I disagree. Franklin is seeing bigger, stronger and faster defensive players and he is going up against some the best defensive coordinators in college football and they are really good at developing solid game plans.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think there is one Big 12 team with the defensive talent Georgia and South Carolina has and Missouri hasn’t even faced the best SEC defenses yet.

Kilo- we have some excellent kids coming on the OL in the 2013 class. Not sure about Bauer, (if he stays or not) but Campos is looking fricking great, not to mention the others.

The South Carolina Defensive Line is the best he will face all year, besides Bama.

Yea, Bauer worries me a bit since he started talking about taking officials to other schools.

I think its kind of stupid for a kid to commit during the summer between his SO and JR years in HS.

Hopefully he stands tall and becomes another True Son.

Incredible, if he stays healthy this experience is going to pay off in spades down the road.

I get that, and there is now doubt that playing more stout defenses affects the whole team and game plan but I dont buy into that as a THE reason he is struggling. There is a lot more at play from gameplanning and play calling to composure and confidence as well as a decimated O line.
