Let's look at what you said in a slightly exaggerated fashion. Exaggeration helps illustrate the point, much like absurdity is useful in illustrating the absurd.
Example:
Bose (exaggerated):
"How's that player we ABSOLUTELY ANNIHILATED on that one AWESOMELY BODACIOUS play where we knocked him out of the game with our UNMATCHED WONDROUS MAGNIFICENTNESSEDNESSS!!!! HOW DOES THAT DICK TASTE, BEYOTCH!!!"
Florida fans:
"Scoreboard"

yea, yea. Whatever. I knew they would reply with "Scoreboard," but I didn't care, because I wanted to post that video. I figured I would go with the asymmetrical smacktalk to help buffer the the all-too-obvious "scoreboard" responses.
