It's rather simple.
1. RUN THE BALL- in the SEC , if the turnover margin is equal, the team that leads the game in rushing , wins 85% of the time
2. Stop the run- see # 1

I think the running game and the front 4/7 on the Defense is important, and yeah ya need an above average kicking game, but you also need above average coaching in most departments, and at least one stud in the secondary.
