Bama fans: BDS is changing

Has anyone else noticed over the last few years that BDS is getting louder and more electric than it use to be? I feel that the recent success of the program, younger alumni getting tickets now, change in pregame music, and the larger student section has made a huge difference. I feel like the snobby older gray hairs that had season tickets that did nothing but sit the whole game aren't as much of an issue anymore.

only when we play against marquee opponents. Otherwise the stadium might as well be the stands at a tennis match.

It wasn't very loud for LSU last year outside of the first 10-15 minutes or so.
It seemed like it turned into a nervous atmosphere and got pretty quiet for most of the game

I get very annoyed with out fans in BDS. They are not a very intense group and they will not get loud unless they absolutely have to. They act like they are to cool or above screaming their head off for a full game. I don't think they really buy in to the idea that them making noise benefits the team. I have to give props to LSU and Texas A&M. Those are great stadium atmosphere fan-bases. I wish we could have the intensity of LSU's fan base minus the lewdness. The 2008 and 2010 Ironbowls were really loud though.

It will have its individual moments where it is as loud as any in the country, but acoustically its not going to be Autzen Stadium or Tiger Stadium.

Here's my theory on perceiving crowd noise. I've always come away from other stadiums (LSU, Auburn, TN) saying they were louder than BDS. I think if you are screaming your head off, it diminishes your perception of how loud it is. You don't really appreciate how loud it is until you are in the minority, listening, and everyone else is the one screaming.

Hopefully most fo those people are dying. I can't stand to go to a football game and have someone tell me to sit down. I feel like telling them to sell their tickets to someone that enjoys going to the games and stay their boring arse at the house.

It is the product on the field that has changed.

Been to every game there for the last few years (i might of skipped north texas last year) The loudest i recall hearing it was when Jones broke free on the screen pass against LSU, and the blocked FG against Tenn.
