Paul Haynes to Remain in Booth. ULM Trickery?

Haynes basically said that he is staying in the booth and not going to be changing the defense. That the defense is good but lack of execution and technique has hurt the Hogs.
I understand Alabama is going to run a more traditional offense. But to say that Jacksonville State and ULM ran trickery and schemes? I just thought it was that Arkansas could not take down the ULM QB.
And a good point for Hog fans is at the end. It says Tyler Wilson will play this weekend.. If it happens or not, who knows.

So they are going to put their wounded warrior out on the battle field against Bama? He should last all of 5 minutes then his career will be through

Actually it was a defensive end that said that TW would be ready to go this weekend.
Not a reliable source imo.

I was the first to bring the true news about Tyler not having a broken collarbone and having a concussion, even when media outlets and this board were suggesting otherwise. I have been reading this board for a long time and would never post anything untrue. AS OF RIGHT NOW, Tyler has about a 30%-50% chance of playing Saturday. Health statuses with concussion symptoms can change within 48 hours, or it could take days to even a couple weeks. I am still hoping and praying that he can recover in time, but it doesn't look like he will. If anything changes, I will try to let you guys know. EDIT: He was at practice today, and running and throwing. But it is one thing to be cleared for skeleton drills, and taking contact. But hopefully the next 24 hours are good.

No. If he plays, he's been medically cleared to play. No hocus pocus after that. Medically cleared is all that matters as long as Tyler wants to play still.

We had some chances to get to their QB, but more often than not he'd get the pass off within a couple of seconds to a man who was wide open...someone the slow linebacker turned safety should've been covering or our slow converted DE to MLB should've been covering.

4th and 1 on the 16 = Touchdown. He's not changing the D?
Seriously, they must have information that isn't being shared. A loss to ULM - and no Mea Culpa?

The Arkansas DLine was in position to make plays all throughout the game.. Instead Browning went mobile and found WRs wide open down field..
The safeties were playing 5-10 yards off the receiver.. You had LBs trying to cover deep on slot guys.
Zero contain by the Ark Pass Rush..
I really didn't see a glimmer of hope in the Ark Defense against ULM.

I find it hard to believe our players went full retard on the field and just lined up different than what the coaches wanted...
Like you said Browning was making plays and Haynes was content that we had better guys on our side and would give up yards, but not many points.
It probably would have been true if PP runs the fricking football. The TOP stat tells no lie.
So I blame Haynes for not adjusting and blame Petrino for being Bazaro Petrino

I mean to be honest ULM had no problem moving the ball the entire game.. Only difference was in the 1st half they'd get to midfield and Arkansas defense actually decided to step up.
Arkansas offense going 3 and Out very often did the Defense no favor either. But to be playing your secondary 5-10 yards off the closest receiver is beyond stupid.
And the way the OLine was holding up, running the ball wouldn't have helped but run clock.. But that could have been the difference in the game is just running off a minute more.
All the Arkansas fans the past couple years have been so stoked about Bobby Petrinos recruiting classes.. Pulling in like 6 Wr's in a class.. He got great athletes..
Doesn't matter how good your QB is, doesn't matter how good Davis is, doesn't matter how good Gragg and the WRs are.. If the OLine doesn't hold up only bad things will happen.

This is coaching IMO and missing somebody to hold you accountable (oh the irony). Swanson and Baily were/are projected as NFL talents and Cook and Smothers both held offers to ELITE programs (Bama included). The talent is there...we're just not coaching them up.
They need motivation and I'm not talking HDN style
