I know it's still early. But, am I the only one that thinks LSU and Bama don't look quite as good as last year, while at the same time the gap between them and the rest of the SEC is bigger this year?

Hard to judge at this point in the season but I'm guessing the LSU offense will be better with Mett at the helm but the defense and special teams might be a bit worse without the Honey Badger.

As for Bama, it's hard to imagine your defense being as good as last season after losing so many to graduation, etc. Obvious excellent performance vs Michigan though but after the 2nd week Michigan is looking highly overrated.

I don't think the gap between Bama and LSU vs the rest of the SEC is bigger. In fact, I'm pretty sure that UGA, Tennessee, MSU, and maybe SC and Florida are all better than last season. I guess we will find out in the SECCG.

I agree. Preseason I would have added AU and Hogs but...

Last year club finished 86th in total O. I'm really hoping for a jump of 50 spots.

The D will be different. Coach Raymond has a bigger emphasis on technique and assignment. Less gambling maybe. But, as you said, HB's absence is already noticeable.
