I'm sure you want to believe that, but it's just not so. LSU has upgrade at QB and LB, and has more depth in the trenches and at RB than last year.
And if Mett stays, next year's Tigers could and should be even better than this year's.

Honestly haven't watched LSU play much this year so far. I think the secondary has a big drop, last year's was great. DL about same at best and LB a little better.
OL with injury looks like a wash to me. RB is the same as last year, only difference appears to be that Ware is finally dropped in rotation. That is a big improvement, but could/should have been done last year.
QB was very good last year through eight games. Haven't seen Mett yet so don't really know.
LSU may be better, but going into the year I have my doubts.
Bama has almost no chance of being better than last year.
