I think people have a misconception about what our offense is going to be.

Yes it will certainly be hurry up and it wouldn't surprise me if we average more snaps per game than anyone. Will it be the air raid though with a heavily biased pass to run ratio. I dont believe so.
Instead of thinking Texas Tech, think West Virginia. Dana Holgerson basically went 50/50 run pass with over 300 yards on the ground against Marshall.

While a lot of SEC teams have exposed spread teams, I think that had a lot to do with a talent discrepancy than scheme.
A&M is in a state that produces a wealth of offensive talent and average defensive talent. 7 on 7 is huge here.
If Sumlin can prove his offense works in the SEC, he is going to have some elite offensive recruiting classes for some time.

Arkansas showed you can win with offense. I think A&M can replicate that, but have an even better defense to complement.

The changing of rules and the shelf-life of RBs has dictated that more than anything.

Nice cop out but that is false.
The shelf life of RBs has merely made teams adapt to two RB systems. Its rare to have one RB pound the rock for a whole season.

Teams like Saints prove that elite offensive talent in a spread type scheme who like to air the ball out can beat elite defensive talent.
The point is, its more about the jimmies and joes than Xs and Os.

The are a lot of ways to utilize talent.
