So what were they expecting? The transcript they called about, the principal said, had the grade of 70 on it.

I agree. But compliance at Auburn should have been concerned when he qualified. Other schools had stopped recruiting Robinson because of grades. Why would have Auburn waited for the NCAA to get involved before looking into it?
