I have relatives like this. We usually break up into camps during the season.
Camp 1: College Graduates (mostly from UA) genuinely excited about watching our team compete. Hoping for the best, but not deriving our self worth on whether or not we win.
Camp 2: Highschool graduates (mostly), going bat-shite crazy, wearing Alabama T-shirts everywhere for 5 months straight, yelling Roll Tide in the grocery store and wanting to fight Auburn fans for no good damn reason. Oh...and the Natty Light. Good God how they drink the Natty Light.
The only silver lining I see in this whole thing is that at least the royalties from the merchandise they buy goes back to The University and benefits the football program.
