Point is, if we don't lose a late lead to UF in 2008, and to AU and LSU in 2010...Bama at the very least would have played for the BCS title the past 4 years. Fact.

This. This is true on all levels. The OP is awful. I'm not saying BAMA isnt a good team. They're a great team, but they should not be considered by anyone to be "technically" going for a five-peat this year. If you're talking about giving up late leads as winning a game, if i remember correctly, LSU gave up a late lead to you in 2009. It still doesnt matter. You must play all four quarters of all 14 games to be considered national champions.
