Our defense isn't that young, but our offense for the most part is. The best part about our defense with the exception of Lemonier maybe going pro early, we'll return the entire DL and secondary, except for Bell and the LB's will be an upgrade from what we have this year. Same goes for our offense in terms of returning players. The entire 2-3 deep on the OL except for Sullen, and whoever takes his spot will be an upgrade.

As for the offense, the OL is extremely young and the QB is a soph, so there's definitely that. And the depth behind Lutz Omac and Blake is basically all either soph or freshmen.

As for whoever said our 09 class should be seniors and Tubs last class(08) Rseniors, the only players left from Tubs last class are Omac and Bell. 21 of the 29 that signed that year either never made it into school or didn't remain on the team through their senior years, so we really didn't have much to work with in this class. So only 2 of the 29 are left.

And regardless of how much time Chizik had to recruit the 09 class, it was only about a month, so he had to piece together what he could from Tubs class and recruit who he could in a months time. 15 of those 28 never made it in for various reasons(one was baseball) or are no longer on the team, including some who have graduated or left early(Fairley).

So 15 players remain on the team from the 08/09 classes.

So the majority of the starters this year will be from the 10 and 11 classes with a few from the 08/09 and several freshmen and Rfreshmen.

And with the turnover in coordinators and bringing in new systems on top of how badly they played last year(while still winning 8 games), gives anyone outside the program reason to believe that there won't be huge improvement - i.e. the Vegas over/under on wins.

There's only one way to really find out though, and that starts this Saturday.
