Anyone heard this? Because of the storm and both teams having the same bye?

Jindal is already asking for voluntary evacuations in 15 parishes.

Week 1 BYE instead of Week 7 for Aggy?

6-6 at best.

A hurricane has never hit Shreveport in the history of the planet Earth.

Hope not. First week of the season would be a worthless bye. We'll need the one we currently have scheduled, prior to LSU.

I think it's way too early for anyone to be postponing a football game to be played this Thursday.

The GFS model has the storm going along the LA coast into Texas. There would be minimal effects to Ruston if this happens.

The European model has the storm going to Mobile and then north and northeast. That would mean sunny skies and beautiful weather all day long in Ruston.

I live in the NOLA area and we are all over this storm. There are too many variables right now. No reason for any decision to be made on that game until Tuesday. By then the storm will be making landfall somewhere and everyone will know what kind of weather the Ruston area will have.

From a selfish standpoint, I think any postponment of this game is good for UF. It would either give TAM less days off prior to our game with them, and if the game was rescheduled, that would leave TAM no warm up game to see what they have prior to playing the Gators.

With that being said I hope and pray everywhere the storm hits is ok in the end and no one gets hurt.

Isaac may impact Aggies season opener

Louisiana Tech officials will make a decision by Tuesday afternoon on whether to reschedule the football team’s Thursday game against Texas A&M.

The two teams are scheduled to kick off their respective seasons at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Shreveport at Independence Stadium. Isaac, a tropical storm likely to strengthen into a hurricane Monday afternoon, is now projected to hit the Louisiana coast and move into the state.

There are no current plans to use Independence Stadium as an evacuation area. La Tech did activate an emergency response web site for its students Monday afternoon.
