Radio Interview w/ George Whitfield (and notes)
quote:
His first thought was that Manziel could play nearly any skill position because he was such an incredible athlete. Once Manziel picked up the ball, a couple of things jumped out to him. The first was that Manziel possesses natural arm talent and the second was his overall athleticism.
quote:
He put both Manziel and [Florida State QB E.J.] Manuel into the drills at the same time, and if you turned your back on them and just watched the receivers, you wouldn’t know which one was throwing the ball. After a while, he started thinking about how this young guy from Texas was going toe to toe with a 6-5, future draft pick quarterback from Florida State without any problem.

Sorry I wasn't keeping up with your redshirt freshman QB. I hope he enjoys his first year of SEC defenses.....

I'm sure SEC defenses are shitting themselves over the thought of a 6'1 200 pound QB trying to run an Air Raid offense.

Glad to see that Manziel is doing well. I know Chip was really high on the kid.

So what happens with that freshman QB you signed this year? Redshirt or is he 2nd string?
