On a lighter note, this whole topic sort of throws a funny spin on the whole "preserving the sanctity of marriage" thing, doesn't it? Two gay guys making a commitment to each other is an outrage, but these two getting "married" like this isn't.

I lived in a trailer and if you considered me a redneck, yes you would be incredibly stupid.
While there are red neck students that live in trailers while attending auburn, it's certainly nto exclusively red necks.
People in college have to make tough choices based on limited funds. It's not like someone was saying "damn wish icoudl spend more money to live in a trailer" unlike this couple that absouletly chose to spend more money to make it as tacky as possible.
I'm sure it made them happy, so good for them, but for the bama fan tryign to use college living arragements as a parallel to this...well keep fighting the good fight buddy.

I think it's safe to say that the odds of these two holding hands on a front porch in 30 years are slim to none.

Wow, that puts a whole new spin on it.

Kenny Stabler has really fallen on hard times since he lost his bammer radio gig and the feds seized his shite. Poor guy is doing weddings now for beer money.

For some reason, it's the little things that crack me up. Like the groom wearing his cellphone on his belt (or maybe it's a leatherman) during his wedding.

Yes I am incredibly stupid for pointing out the same faults in you, that you point out in us..
You are comparing kids in college living in trailers while in school, to a bunch of over 40 rednecks having a tasteless wedding? You're a genius.

I got married in Hawai'i to my wife who I met and graduated with at Bammer.
I fully support you and your life partner and I'm glad Hawaii performs same sex marriage.

Roll Tide, War Eagle Wedding
An Auburn grad and an Alabama grad recently got married.
The groom (Alabama) requested that his cake be hounds-tooth (typical).
The Auburn bride was obviously disappointed, but they honored his request.
The bride’s parents (Auburn) had the cake made, and when the groom cut it at the reception, he had a little surprise…

That's pretty funny and tastefully done.

Guys, grow up. So they had an Alabama-themed wedding, so what? It certainly may not be what you and I will or have done, but it is for them and they appear thrilled.
Stop being so judgmental that they don't fit the cookie-cutter mold of SECRant perfection. I doubt they will lose sleep over that. No one is perfect - only our maker. So, even though I don't have a clue as to who or where they are, I raise a toast to the happy couple. May they live a happy and loving life!! And just for them . . . Roll Tide!

Do those people have to work at being rednecks or does it just come naturally?

The kid crying annoyed me enough to mute... Jesus I hate when kids scream and cry, especially when the parents dont take them outside, and just let them scream their fricking face off.

so we laugh at it...how old do you have to be to completely lose your sense of humor?
If you can't laugh at that for being tacky then you're either not being honest with yourself or you have no sense of humor.
