Is mettenberger overrated?

I sure have heard a lot about him for not playing much if all in the sec. So he is tall and not very mobile and completes fity percent... In a scrimmage.
I say he is serviceable and a small step up from Jefferson. But he will get sacked more.

I would be hoping that he was as well. Might want to remember he is going against a great defense.......of course if you think arkansas will present him the same level of defense...then okay. You might take note that he threw a 50+ yard touchdown and a 30+ yard touchdown.....Yeah, JJ had those all the time.....

JJ took a ton of sacks in his career and sucked. even if mett was just ok he would be a huge step above jj who couldn't stay on the bucs longer than a crippled kid.

I don't know about Mett, but Jordan Jefferson was very overrated in my book. The first LSU game I ever saw in my life was last year's Arkansas game. Jefferson looked like the next Cam Newton in that game. He carved that Razorback defense up.

Doesn't matter, Jefferson proved last year that LSU doesn't need a good QB to beat Arkansas.

He hasnt played any significant time yet. I would say we can determine that 3-4 games into the season.

He hasn't ever been mentioned in any All-SEC discussions. I don't think ESPN had him in the top half of the SEC in their position rankings. I'm not sure how he can be overrated when he isn't even rated. You hear his name a lot because he is the QB at LSU. Same reason you heard Jefferson's name a lot.

Mett not very mobile? He had 28 yard rushing on 2 carries last year. Zero sacks in 11 pass attempts. Are you just making stuff up?
