If you want to pay more tuition and get a worse education, then sure, go to Baylor.

Ha, ok man. Ya'll might as well be an IVY league school. Is that what you want to hear? Baylor's school of medicine is very well known and makes many advances in medicine. I'm sorry I acknowledge this. I'm sure ya'll have a nice engineering school or vet school or something. I'm just telling you that nobody outside of TAMU fans will think that TAMU is a better academic institution, regardless of tuition. Again, I'm sorry...

Here's a reason why they might be so well regarded and were able to advance to the reputation they have today(from Wiki):

quote:

In 1969, the College separated from Baylor University and became an independent institution, which allowed it access to federal research funding. The institution's name changed to Baylor College of Medicine.

quote:

In 2009,... Baylor University entered into talks with BCM with a goal of strengthening ties to the medical school, however, the BCM board decided that it would remain an independent institution.
