Looking for unbiased opinions. How does this game look to everyone?

I think this is the game that decides Dooley's fate. Florida is as low as they have been in a long time. Vegas has the game as a Pickem. Game is in Knoxville. Florida's offense has too many question marks. Tennessee's defense will not be very good. Can UT score 24-28 points on the Gator defense? If so, I think they can pull it off. If not, it is going to be another long season in Knoxville.

I think the Vols have to beat Florida to win 7-8 games. It looks like USCe, UGA, and Alabama will be losses. Mizzou, Moo State, and Florida could go either way and the Vols should win the other six.

UT fanbase is more divided than ever. the season must start sizzling hot by beating both NC State and Florida.

if not, UT fanbase will be united about their stance on Dooley.

Here is the honest opinion of a Gator who follows college football and knows the SEC: UT & UF shared the same problem last year of not being able to run the ball well...actually UT hasnt been running the ball like the old Fulmer days of 2001 imho.

UT has a very good qb who has started games, UF has two very talented young qbs who were fed to the wolves because of injury to Brantley last year. WRs...big edge to UT, RBs...even probably, TE? UF has Jordan Reed OL? Edge to UF with four starters back and the fifth starter has had starting experience.

Defense is where UF will make UT throw the ball more than they want to. The one key stat that says everything is which team has the most rushing yds at end of game? Simple. Whichever team outrushes will win the game. Qbs and wrs wont win the game.

Now...do I think UT can win? Yes. Will they? I really dont know...UT has struggled offensively for some time...our offense is only suffering post Tebow letdown in running. Being in Knoxvegas is a real plus for UT...Dooley is in pickle if he cant win...look at who UT beat last year, not exactly a killers row and UF also feasted on lambs to an extent.

Should be a great SEC contest with the pigskin in the air and hard hitting.

UT can outrush UF if they get a two TD lead and run a lot of draw plays and belly dives and run clock...opting to throw on third downs if need be. UF on the otherhand will try to make UT convert third and longs...putting pressure on Bray. He will know what aftershave our defensive line is wearing by games end. Because its a road game...defense is where we need to win the battle and create turnovers and quiet the crowd...Im sure we will have nickle package 90% of the time.

Close game, I'll still give the edge to UF because of my bias.
2 things that could hurt us are playing @ A&M the week before and if it's a night game.

It is an interesting match up. I am looking forward to it.

There is a misconception we have a weak line. They didn't run the ball well last year, which isn't entirely the OL's fault. They do get some of the blame, but our RBs were weak last year as well, which lead to the poor running.

We all expect UT to have a strong offense, and we all expect UF to have a strong defense.

I believe the game will be won on the other sides of the ball. Meaning, who will play better, UF's offense or UT's defense.

I believe any reasonable fan would agree it is way to early to predict anything in this game.

I'd like to see how we look against NC State, and I'd like to see how UF handles the trip to College Station before predicting anything with this game.

UT-UF looks to be a very uninteresting game that will not be worthy of it's CBS time slot that week.

It would be like watching Mike Tyson box tonight instead of when he was 20.

Bottom line - UT can't beat Florida unless they
1. Run the ball, or
2. Get a lot of big plays in the passing game.

The offensive line that UT has coming back has a lot of hype again and talent on paper, and in sacks allowed are awesome, but they haven't been able to run the ball at all against anyone since Dooley has been there.

UF's run defense was at it's worst in a long while last year, and all signs point to it being better in 2012. Combine that with all the experience coming back in the secondary, and I just don't see UT scoring a lot of points.

It was 30-13 in the 4th quarter last year, because Florida owned the LOS, and gave up passing yards but never the big score.

The strategy will be similar in 2012 and unless the UT defense can step up and keep Florida under 20, then this game probably won't be very close. UT's front 7 isn't scaring anyone next year, and UF has it's best offensive line since 2009. That combination should give UF a significant advantage in the running game, which should keep the pressure off of their young QB's.

UF is just a tough match up for UT right now.

UT has better backfield and way better playmakers.
UF has advantage on the trenches.

if UF allows several big passing plays they'll lose.
