I know there is a lot of false bravado from SEC fans on this site but this is a nice boost for the SEC. We add a top 3 state in recruiting and the St. Louis market. Both programs are so much more a geographical fit than all of these other more desperate expansion attempts around the country. We add solid football, basketball and baseball programs. A&M adds a strong overall athletics program and a willingness to put a bunch more money into it.
The SEC knows that the era of the superconference is here and has gone about expanding the right way.

If that's true, why weren't Texas and Oklahoma invited instead?
