Who had a bigger impact at Alabama? Ingram or Richardson?

I'd have to say Ingram because of his play in big time games that determined the 2009 season. We don't win the championship without him. In 2011 we were loaded everywhere and probably would have still beaten every team anyway without Richardson.

Ingram laid the foundation.

Richardson is the better player, more deserving of the Heisman... Without Richardson, you lose to Auburn in 09.

I'd even go as far to say that his 2009 season was as impressive as Richardson's 2011 season when you compare the two schedules. He played great in every big game that year. (except auburn)

Ingram.

His play as a true freshman backup against mighty Clemson in 2008 seemed to energize the team and Bama fans...which carried on through the season. We could see that the bad days were behind us.

All he did was a catch a pass or two and score a 2 yd td. not really THAT big.

hard to say honestly, Richardson was a stud last year and had equal stats as Ingram....both won a championship...BUT Ingram did get a Heisman. with that being said I'll go with Yeldon.

He was a stud last year for sure, but look who Ingram went up against in 2009.

Virginia Tech
Arkansas
LSU
South Carolina
Florida
Texas

And went over 100 in all of them except for Arky.

they were both integral, reliable parts of the alabama team. but, i just keep going back to that south carolina game when ingram went under center when macelroy was in his slump, and basically saved the season for us.

Richardson went beastmode in 2011, but he wasn't on Ingram's level in 09. This is him vs top 25 teams.

Virginia Tech
26 Carries
150 yds
1 TD

3 rec
35 yds
1 TD

During the arkansas game he was still recovering from flu like symptoms, but it was an average game.

Arkansas
17 carries
50 yds
1 TD

3 Rec
21 yds
1 TD

Ole Miss
28 carries
172 yds
1 TD

3 rec
16 yds

South Carolina
24 carries
246 yds
1 TD

2 rec
23 yds

LSU
22 carries
144 yds

5 rec
30 yds

Florida
28 carries
113 yds
3 TD

2 rec
76 yds

Texas
22 carries
116 yds
2 td
