Best recruiting class in Vandy history, good young coach, and coming off a successful campaign last season which could very well have ended in an 10-2 record (four SEC games decided by a TD or less) instead of 6-6. Looking at the schedule I would say a 7-5 or 8-4 record is a possibility.

One of the best imo for his age.

You could say that for a shite load of teams I'm sure every year.

The Ohio St team that beat Miami had 8 or 9 wins that were won by 7 or less. You could say they were on the verge of only getting 3 or 4 wins that yet.

Vandy had the most returning starters in the whole NCAA. They would have won just as many games if they still had Bobby Johnson. The interim coach even admitted he is not a head coach. If they would have hired anyone capable two years ago, they would have had at least 4 wins.

Vandy was also a trap game for most teams, coaches looked ahead, Franklin's mouth will cause teams not to do that this year.

Before claiming he is a good coach, look at Dennis Erickson's first year at ASU or Gary Crowton's first year at BYU. Franklin hasn't even beaten anyone with a winning record.
