Have tried to get in touch with him (king) steadily since Friday with no luck.
Talking with some people seems like the visit went very well and the feeling I've gotten is that Tennessee really helped themselves.
He came with both his mother and father and they made the drive and back in one day, which tells me they were serious about seeing what Tennessee had to offer.
Speculation on my part but based on what I've picked up I think the Vols are in it deeper than I would have ever anticipated a couple of months ago. Probably a UT-Memphis battle IMO. Will continue to try and get in touch with him for a more concrete update.
OH. MY.

@JohnMartinCA: 2013 Briarcrest PF Austin Nichols (@a_nichols33) will take an unofficial visit to Memphis tomorrow. Details in Monday's Commercial Appeal.

No chance Nichols stays home. Tennessee/Duke battle.

I have no idea about his recruitment. I saw it on twitter and figured I'd post it here

A little info on Nick King.... Just got off the phone with the talented Memphis forward. He had a good time on his visit this weekend and will return this fall for an official. He will make his decision sometime in early November. More to come in story form later.

@GaryParrishCBS: Talked to Mark Nichols, father of @a_nichols33. Said today's unofficial to Memphis "went great." Seemed genuinely impressed by visit, FWIW.

Family already has the $$$. Very, very little chance he stays home.

Any reason why he doesn't want to stay home?

I am not sure of the specific reasons, but he has let it be known that he doesn't want to go to Memphis according to Easterwood on Parrish's show. Memphis fans are not even getting their hopes up.
His twin sister enrolls at Tennessee this month and his "personal trainer" is very much in Tennessee's camp.
With Florida out it would be a real surprise if he ends up elsewhere.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Nichols ends up being a Vol, but whenever you're battling Duke and UNC for a kid it's difficult to call him a lock.
There's no chance he goes to Memphis.

Stokes also played for Team Penny in middle school. Hopefully young Stokes plays for m33m, YOMCA, or one of the GA teams when he gets older. Team Penny is trouble.

I'm pretty sure Team Penny is brand new, just like 1 or 2 years old at the most.

I was thinking it was just the name that was new, but that he had been involved with that team for a few years prior to it becoming Team Penny. Maybe not.

Hubbs is an Addidas guy, per Easterwood(take it with a grain of salt) ESPN intentionally undervalues recruits who side with Adiddas.
