I know it would never happen being that the SEC is the most powerful conference in college sports, but what if the NCAA gave your school a modern death penalty? What would do you see happening?

What do you mean exactly?

Maybe poison a bunch if trees. Seems to be one of the dumbest most irrational things a person could do.

For football? I would be fine with it. Our roster has been death penalty level anyway and we have a death penalty level coach. Nothing changes for us imo.

"never" and "always" are two words I would never apply to athletics. Under the right circumstances the NCAA will have no trouble putting a program on hold. The thing is that the threshhold for where the "death penelty" falls is different for different schools. The longer the NCAA holds its hand before spanking a school will result in more schools pushing the envelope.

Nutt was like the death penalty

Well it would defiantly suck. It's hard to tell the reaction though. Our fans are pretty crazy so who knows.

The Dennis Franchione error was the closest thing we'll see to the "death penalty".

I honestly dont think the NCAA would give another death penalty because they see what it did to SMU. But if they did, it would mean that the school was paying players unglodly amounts of money consistently and it was being convered up so well that the entire administration, both athletic and adacemic, knew about it and supported it.
