Well said.

Tiger Authority is very caught up on this idea of fairness which I can understand. I might feel the same way if I were an LSU fan (God forbid). But the reality is that sometimes the fairest solution for each school does not equal the best solution for the conference. The fairest way to divide up the money produced would be to do so according to how much money each school brought in. The fair thing would be for Ole Miss to receive a much smaller share than Bama or LSU but that would not be the best thing for the conference because having 14 strong programs is what's best for the conference as a whole. Same thing with scheduling. Each of the big 6 is paired with another member of the big 6 as a permanent cross division game. This means that the little 8 schools have to play the big 6 less frequently allowing them more opportunity to have successful seasons. The more successful seasons the little 8 have the stronger their programs will be and the stronger the conference will be.
