The point of the comment was in response to a bama fan that said an lsu fan wouldnt know about rivalries and thats why bama is so adomant about preserving the "rivalry" with tenn. A small percentage of fans consider it a rivalry and others dont.
So once again they are catering to a very small segment of the conference instead of the betterment of everyone involved.

The conference voted though, and the vote was 11-3. So, a very large segment actually voted in support of the current structure.
