I agree that Bama and Auburn should move to the East to preserve the rivalry, if it comes to that, but that means LSU is a giant among midgets in the West. 5 of the Big 6 will be in the East and LSU will run roughshod over everyone. A&M might eventually get to the point where they will challenge and Arkansas might pose a threat every 4 or 5 years, but it will be LSU winning the West 75-80% of the time.
I think UGA, Auburn, Bama, and Tennessee should tell Slive to go frick hisself and go form the Southern Awesome Conference and we'll invite Florida, LSU, Ole Miss, and Vandy (every conference needs their whipping boys). All are founding members of the SEC, and we'd keep the Big 6 intact while maintaining academic credibility (Vandy, UF, UGA) and hot co-eds (pretty much everyone sans Vandy).

You obviously haven't been following too closely.
You've missed the 'cyclical nature' of college football which says that Tennessee will eventually return to greatness and that according to this theory, LSU will inevitably return to it's rightful place in the SEC cellar.
You've also apparently missed the fact that there is no "Big 6" in the SEC, it is the "Big 4 + UF".
Also note how coawrdly LSU fans are by demanding that they get the chance to play UGA more often.
So I really don't understand this fear that lowly LSU would be able to run roughshod over anyone on a consistant basis. After all, LSU has a losing record vs MISSOURI, of all teams.

Also. aTm is a rising power. With the level they are recruiting, its only a matter of time before they are one of the big boys.

Stay at 14 teams and go to a 9 game schedule, 6-3 home and home format, and eliminate permanent cross-division rivals. Really simple stuff. The problem is that bama wants the win over tn every year, as does ms state and ole miss, who play ky and vandy, and auburn wants to play ga because they can't beat out bama for instate recruits and rely on raiding ga every year for talented players. Oh and no one in the east wants to play 3 western division teams every year. The tradition argument is just a bullshite excuse to cover up the truth. Tradition went out the window when they added teams to the conference. New members makes it a new conference, i.e. b12, b11, pac12. Slive and his cohorts are morons.
