That 6-7 record in 2006 suggests otherwise. Did you not watch the Shula years? He had one decent season where the breaks bounced his way until the last two games of the regular season. Outside of that the teams were terrible and his recruiting was pathetic.

UA has always had the "grassroots" support to be a great program, or at least in the modern era of football. It was already well organized before he arrived. At LSU he had to organize it, at UA it was waiting for orders.

UA's greatest advantage is they will get behind any coach as long as he wins.

So Miles won with Saban's players in 2007.

When Saban won in 2008 & 2009, it was somehow with Shula's pathetic players?

Makes total logical sense.
