Why do national pundits keep acting as if the SEC plays nobody OOC?

How much evidence to the contrary do these talking heads need before they realize this bullshite talking point is just that? Just watched CFLive on dvr and even though Brock Huaord (sp) gave credit to LSU and Alabama going OOC to play some big teams, they said it as if this was the minority. Why does the national media try to stick this stigma on the SEC still, when it's simply untrue? The SEC is not any different than other conferences regarding OOC schedules. Further, when the conference is as good as it is, and has won the last 6 NC's, what exactly is the incentive to schedule a big OOC game in the first place? Yet, we keep doing it.

It will only get worse now that all the major conferences are going to 9 game schedules but we are staying at 8 to protect cream puff games. We need to go to 9 to maintain credibility.

Thats ludacris.
LSU played West Virginia and Oregon last year. Alabama played Penn St.
Tennessee played Oregon 2 years ago and will again in 2013
UGA played Boise last year and Oklahoma St. 2 years ago.
There are some teams in the SEC who do play difficult OCC games and there are some who do not.

It's a myth, I think I saw last year the sec played the same or more bcs conference schools than any of the others.

Vandy plays at least two BCS OOC games each year, playing three some years.

I blame Florida. I believe they haven't played a non-conference opponent outside the state of Florida since 1991. They've been the best program in the SEC over that time but their non-conference scheduling has been embarrassing.

Because that's about all they have left in their feeble attempts to explain our dominance the last few years.

it's also really funny how teams from other conferences get all kinds of accolades for playing sec teams for their ooc games, yet sec teams don't get the same recognition for playing each other, year in and year out.
