Brown was the hardest worker on the team in 2009 by most accounts and a great teammate.

His support system ruined him at the college level, I would not count him out if he can get away from them.

47 since December 08 (that counts dismissals, de-commits, and transfers)

I believe the number is around 25 or 30 if you don't count de-commits.

These things only get worse when money is thrown into the mix.

he has almost no chance of making the team. They signed Chris Polk from Washington who is much much much better and would have been a 2nd round pick had it not been for his shoulder.

Polk also has 799 career carries already on his body, more than any other RB in the draft.

Doesn't Polk have a pretty serious hip issue too?

no that's a rumor. What is confirmed is his shoulder problem.

I think Bryce Brown is a steal this late in the draft.

The guy has the physical tools.

considering the kid hasn't really played in 2 years and seems lazy and seems like a head case I find it hard to believe he will make the team over a hard working guy that has 2nd rd talent.

You're drawing a lot of unsupported conclusions here.

I don't think Brown is lazy. I don't think he is a head case. I think he certainly had some "support system" issues (as others have noted). H

The thing with Brown is that actually seemed like a decent human being. I always got the sense that he was being pulled in a lot of different directions, and that he wasn't man enough at the time to man up and take control of his life in the midst of those situations.

The playing time he got as a frosh at UT...he did well. He had all the makings of a good back. He is versatile too. Good hands.

He still might be better than Trent. Could be a steal for the Eagles

A guy that hasn't been able to be mature enough to make his own decisions and dropped out of college so he could be some great draft pick doesn't have problems?

We all have problems. But he isn't a head case in the way that TO is a head case. Or Artest is a head case.

He can work hard and be a good teammate and a good player. He won't be a diva. He wont' get in trouble with the law. He won't fail drug tests.

Why are Vol fans so defensive of a dude that bailed on your program? You might as well be supporting Kiffin.

I'm not going to buy his jersey or anything. I just think y'all are giving him a harder time than he really deserves.

Also, from what I understand he didn't want to leave UT. He liked it there and some white girl apparently had him all pussy-whipped. So I always felt a bit of empathy for him in that it appeared that he was just riding in a remote control car while one of several assholes pressed the buttons.

I'm not sure. He was on the K-St roster last year.

But then people would always tell me that so and so saw him in Knoxville this weekend or that weekend. Which suggests that he was not confident in his ability to pull a nicer piece of white puss in Manhattan compared to whatever he was hitting in Knoxville

Bryce Brown hasn't played because he's been taking care of his GF. Scouts respect that. He's not a Janoris Jenkins type.

And he is better than Trent.
