Man, everyone is a little butt hurt.
JLS knows his place. He was obviously told that he has 10 months and that his coordinators were to coach. We will win 8-10 games, and we will get a splash hire for 2013.
Jeff Long has millions to spend (especially with a discount coach this year), a good team and a great complex. He will be talking to the best coaches in the country over the next 10mo, and even if JSL wins the NC... Jeff Long will know that it was CBP's team, staff and game plan.
With that said, recruiting won't be killed. Ohio State set a precedent. If we hire a big-time coach, he will petition the NCAA to skip the bowl game and recruit.
We are in 10000x better position than we were 4 years ago when CBP took the team. He left it in great shape and its only going to get better from here.

That's exactly what he's saying. LSU's young players (like say, Tyrann Mathieu) get better by, you know, playing. Arkansas' players stay just the same throughout their careers. Last year's new o-linemen weren't scrubs coming out of HS and JUCO. A lot of their problem was being first year starters in the SEC.

The only part about this season that is going to be bad is that we are going to have to attribute our NC to him. It will be one of those weird aberrations in the coaching history on wikipedia. 1year 1 championship.

Bama took Arkansas greatest coach in the modern era and beat him like a red headed stepchild every year he coached there. Arkansas was made into what amounted to a warm up game conference play. Arkansas and Petrino = Bama's fat chick.
I like that analogy.

As I said, other than Bama and LSU I doubt you tuned in to many Arkansas games.
Tyler Wilsons stats in the other 11 games:
239-376 (64%) 21 TD's 3Int's.
If our O-line wasn't doing good then Tyler Wilson is superman. Oh, I forgot that we were 11-0 in those games as well.
