I hope you are not trying to say that Les is a bad coach. You would have to be a fricking idiot to believe that.

i think he's saying that les is not the best public speaker, he come across a little aloof and goofy.

The most important thing about this thread is that the legendary PRJ posted in it.

As one who has seen John L Smith speak a few times in public, you will be in a for a laugh, he is a complete joke as a speaker and a head football coach.

Here is the quote he said "Pot meet kettle" to. I agree Les is a goofball speaker, but his resume as a coach speaks for itself. Most on this board, myself included, would agree that Saban is the best in the game. Les holds an even mark in the head to head against Saban as it stands right now. That didn't just happen by accident.

Its a solid hire. Long keeps the system as petrino-esque as possible for the 2012 season and then gets an 'Urban Meyer' Hire for 2013. CUM (ha) set a precedent, new coach will recruit while JL smith attends to the bowl preparation.

10 month contract. We couldn't expect to steal a top 5 coach twice in a row.

Maybe they were looking for someone who didn't know how to text, and who probably is past the age of being able to run a young female staffer. . .

The conventional wisdom seemed to be get an interim till December/January. This seems to have been accomplished, the interim being hired rather than appointed.

People keep referring to JLS like he's ancient. He is only 3 years older than Saban.

Best Move to go interim

We lost all our cred of firing Petrino by dicking over Weber state (so says the board)
