What about scrimmage and practice attendance?

First, the spring game is the only open practice/scrimmage to the public. Second, Coach Saban constantly attributes the high attendance for the A-Day game as influential in recruiting. That's reiterated with comments from prospects attending A-Day. So, to answer your question, I do take pride in Alabama having a very supportive fan base.

You must be thinking of Keeneland and Thunder Over Louisville. I don't know why anyone would think it had to do with the spring game.

It was the reasoning one of your fans gave earlier today on why attendance was low. To be fair though everyone else was saying Keeneland.

I'm well aware. I'm just saying it's really not even comparable and what you said was not remotely relevant.

Meh, Think what you like I am too tired to really argue this. It's obvious you have a deep hate for Florida(must be because you live in the state) so go ahead and hate.

Don't you guys think it makes an impression on recruits to see 60 or 70,000 plus in a stadium for a spring game. I feel the only impact it could possibly have on a young athlete would be positive. I don't know how in the world it could possibly be thought of as negative.

I think Spring game attendance is important, but I know lots of people feel it isn't.

I thought Kentucky fans weren't at the baseball game today because of the spring game?

That 5,000 would've been better served at the baseball game for sure.

You couldn't pay me to go to this year's spring game. This team is going to be one of the worst in recent memory.

You think UK is going to have a worse season than last year? Why? I haven't kept up with UK this spring. Don't feel bad about the attendance the Hurricanes I think had 50 people at theirs if that much.

Definitely a positive.
Like Bosa for instance. Last week he saw an awful showing at Michigan's spring game before seeing 81k yesterday in the stands.
Does it make a recruits decision? No, but it would make me more uppity about a university to see that kind of fan support.

thank God I live somewhere that has festivals, events and overall great things to do instead of going to a glorified practice

Ohio State topped us this year. They had 81,400.

So they get to print the Spring Game National Championship tee shirts?

We probably have the worst WR corp in the SEC and our defense is going to be thin with off-season defections/departures of guys like Trevathan and Guy. Maxwell Smith is at QB and while he's not Morgan Newton he's middle of the road at best. Towles will be on the roster but Joker isn't going to take a chance in playing him (and he'll be too young to make a significant impact).

And we have Joker Phillips. If we have a winning season I'll be shocked.

Mitch should go ahead and fire him, use an interim HC, and get a head start on finding a new HC.

Ohio State's 100k stadium was 60% full on a rainy day (as was PSU) the 81k is an inflated figure.

One of the silliest things I have ever seen. Taking price is something as ridiculous as spring game attendance speaks volumes about anyone or any group.

I'm not even sure what to make of this sentence. For one, what is swp? Second, why is Rodeo in quotations? And "majrity", really?
