Curley Halman would have taken LSU to the 1993 SEC Championship game

Crap, you might be right.

We were 3-5 in conference that year but 3 of the losses were to the SEC East so we were actually 3-2 in division that season.

One of those wins was over Alabama, who finished 5-2-1 in conference. Bama's 2 losses came to Western division opponents. They tied Tennessee.

Didn't bother yet to see what Arkansas, Ole Miss and State's divisional records were that year. Auburn was already on probation.

Thanks.
I've just been waiting for someone to give the flip side of things.

The more games that figure in to the equation, the better the chance for the best team to get to the SEC championship game.

I think if the very name of the game has championship in it, regardless of record or who the opponent might be.....Bama should get to play in it.

Ill just leave this vasoline right here.
