Either way I believe it's a NCAA secondary violation, although I think coaches just have to go to a rules re-education

well,technically that was one of the things that got Galen Hall in trouble in 1989. Supposedly he was giving money to assistants out of his own pocket.

It sure sounds like it would be. I THINK (can't remember for sure) that Richt got some secondary violations when he paid all his assistants a little extra out of his own pocket.
