Maybe he is being blackmailed. His statement said "past inappropriate relationship" and supposedly Jessica Dorrell is engaged and getting married in a couple of months. Maybe she demanded the new job in the Athletic Department or else she would tell all about their affair.....

One small positive about hiring her is she does have competitive credentials. It's not like she has a general studies degree.
