That memphis team had nowhere near the talent this Kentucky team has. Sure they had Rose and he was head and shoulders above everyone else, but this Kentucky has the two most athletically talented kids that have college bball in a long time. MKG dunks more times than most guys lay it up. For crying out loud he dunks on guys, flat footed, that have 3 or more inches on him. Davis hasn't even scored and is having a greater impact on the game than Robinson of Kansas. Cal just has to coach not to let them eff it up.
Totally agree, but the '08 Kansas team was inferior in talent to the '08 Memphis team which was evident until Memphis fell apart at the end of the game. That was the point I was making to challenge the Talent>Coaching argument. This KY team should run this KS team out of the gym, but they also should have run that Louisville team out of the gym Saturday. We shall see.

That Kansas team had enough talent to match Memphis other than Rose. CDR, Joey Dorsey and Taggart were decent players but none could dominate a game individually. Kentucky on the other hand has 3 players that can, Jones, Davis and MKG. Along with Teague, Lamb and Miller this team is extremely hard to beat. Like you said though, Cal can and has effed it up in the past so I guess we will see if third time is the charm.
