I went to the USC UGA game in Columbia, and was pleasantly surprised. Don't love the city, but the atmosphere, tailgating and wimmens make for a good road trip.

You'll hate the fricking rooster crowing since they will own you for a couple year.

Lets put it this way. Arky-SC had no history prior the SEC, SC-A&M have no history until now. Both are far away as hell and will be almost no fan base interaction outside of the actual gamedays so I doubt there will be a lot of animosity.. unless the 1st game ends up in a fight or something.
SC doesn't really recruit either state, but I guess if somehow playing in Texas every other year pulls us in 1 or 2 3/4-star Texan I guess thats an advantage.

Sure, but a lot of them grew up in Longview. And The Valley. And Odessa/Midland. And Wichita-fricking Falls. Beaumont...etc.
Probably 20% of Arkansas' latest incoming freshman classes are from suburban Dallas.
The point, you missed it.

Ok. ALL A&M students are from the nicest suburbs of Dallas and Houston.

I'm not saying that, I'm saying most of them are from urban and suburban areas, at least all the ones I knew. I'm sure there's some from the places you mentioned but it's a small minority

The socioeconomics of any SEC school student body isn't going to be that much different from A&M.
The typical SEC student across the board comes from a household with income over $100k/yr.
Suburban Birmingham, Memphis, Atlanta, Little Rock and Jackson aren't a whole lot different than suburban Houston or Dallas, IMO.
If you want to compare College Station culturally and aesthetically with other SEC towns, go right ahead...

I agree with this, that's why it was stupid when he said "nobody from College Station should put down another city or state", implying all of our students are from the country and from inferior areas compared to the other schools. Basically none of our students are from College Station, and most of our students are from the same/similar areas as other SEC schools. I know he was trolling, but it didn't make any sense.

Lot of truth in that. Suburbs of New Orleans, Little Rock, Jackson, Birmingham, Mobile, Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta, Charleston, Charlotte, etc send a bunch to SEC schools.

I tend to agree with the guy you responded to. Most of Texas isn't Frisco or Katy. Or Highland Park for that matter. A whole lot of it is Mexia, Odessa and Vidor, south Dallas, south Houston, etc.

Most (or none) of our students are from those places. This would be like me implying that most LSU students are from Houma, Lake Charles or the Lower Ninth Ward when in fact most of them are from suburban areas of New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Houston, etc.

Arky and Mizzou end the year with each other as well.
Who does Arkansas play at the end of the year then?
Cross division rivals won't play at the end of the year in the rare case they meet up in the SEC championship game.

sorta like a kid in a candy store or at 6am on Christmas morning...not to worry, the feeling goes away quite quickly..like when a top shelf SEC LB lays waste to your QB for the first time

You need to introduce yourself to the OT.

well, lets see, I live in Texarkana, U.S.A. I have been a Razorback fan since my memory serves me...I enjoy football the most, followed by basketball, baseball and TRACK (of course)...I know Ryan Mallett and Cobi Hamilton personally and Dennis Johnson's parents...Ike Forte is a Deacon at the Church I attend...past that, I'm just your normal, rabid, Hog fan who thinks the norm in the SEC is ALMOST getting there...I'll lay low for a while as I understand newbies need to listen and not be heard...that's about it

This is the SECr. The OT is a few forums below this one on the list to your left.
Be careful over there though. It's a zoo
