There's a ton in songs by Robert Earl Keen, including the "Front Porch Song" which is entirely about A&M/College Station. There's several in other Texas country songs by some alums and artists as well. Not sure if REK or the others qualify as "famous" outside the state though.

A band called Whiskey meyers references you guys in pretty much all of their songs.
