According to their website, Starkville is "Mississippi's college town."

I'm guessing Starkville is fun on gamedays and the few State fans I've met in real life are awesome. Definitely want to make a trip there.

Always gave you guys the benefit of the doubt, and included Bryan in your 'college town'; more than enough to put it ahead of Starkville or Columbia.

Before State and Tiggers get wroth-- both Starkville and Columbia in their current form are light-years better than they were even a decade ago.

It pretty much is, you can easily cross between them without knowing you did since they're "twin cities" and completely connected. Some of the houses that are walking distance to Northgate are technically in Bryan.

BCS also fits the bill of being much different than it was a decade ago, and I hear they may be allowing all open containers by the bars again

I liked what I saw of College Station when I drove up there back in August. It's not like the rest of the SEC, but I think it will fit better than Columbia, Missouri.

If you can't find something to do in a college town, I don't know what to tell you.....

Uhh how about maybe going to the college there to get a degree. That sounds like what you are supposed to do in college.

I guess with so many sidewalk Bama fans who never attended college it's hard to understand that concept.

The downtown was pretty cool. I will admit. I ate st some pizza place. Shakespeare's Pizza I think is what it was called.

Yeah. Shakespeare's will be packed during game weekend though. I think you guys will enjoy Columbia though.

That's a weak argument. Try telling that to a group of high schoolers you're trying to get to enroll at State.

Starkvegas is not a hotbed of activity, but at least you can buy cold beer in a gas station.

Been to both, and its hard to compare CS and Starkville.

The CS area is 215,000 people. Starkville is what ~30K?

B/CS has roughly 50 something bars to choose from now and has a ton of local eateries flourish the past decade that can only be had in CS.

Factor in they're projecting B/CS to be ~320K in 2020 due to the new biotechnology corridor in West B/CS, and you have two towns that aren't even remotely similar in makeup, size, and infrastructure.

Just sayin....
