Pass Efficiency Rating in SEC Only games last year:

1.McCarron 150.7 11 TD's - 3 INT's
2.Murray 144.8 18 TD's - 8 INT's
3.Wilson 141.4 14 TD's - 4 INT's

When McCarron had to make a throw, he connected. Everyone thinks Wilson is better, because he gets to throw the ball a lot more (He had 270 attempts in SEC play compared to 200 by McCarron). With 70 more attempts, Wilson only had 3 more TD's than McCarron.

If I had to make the choice between the above three, I take McCarron over Wilson. McCarron sold me in the BCS Championship game. He was $$$$$.

But...............The Mettziah is taking over next year!!!!

Yes, Wilson runs a more pass oriented offense so his passing #'s will be better. However, don't forget to factor in how much pressure Wilson had on him and how much he was responsible for carrying and executing the offense. Wilson's ability to escape pressure and throw on the run is what allowed him to excel last year. Our o-line was not that great last year, and if you asked any other QB in the league to stand back there and execute our complex offense with a porous o-line they would get killed. Only QB who compares is Murray.

This argument is so dumb. Have you even attempted to compare Alabama's o-line to Arkansas'? What about their rush attack from last season? It's literally night and day. In addition, don't you think having that defense that completely shut down every offense they played against last year, meaning the opponent's defense had to come right back on the field without any rest, played some part?

I think if McCarron and Tyler switched teams, McCarron would put up much worse numbers than Wilson and Wilson would put up even better numbers than he did.

Including Murray's performance vs LSU

Wilson 141.39 14 TD - 4 INT's

Murray 133.80 19 TD - 10 INT's
