The SEC is dominated by the guys in the trenches. This is going to be a lingering problem. The best athletes in the South usually end up on defense. I believe (rightly or wrongly as time will indeed tell) your offense is going to go through some really tough times.

The D in this league is unreal and unlike anything your guys have experienced. Thanks for the response that included some info. I really don't know anything about your individual players and other than DGB I can't name a single one right now.

I'm sure I'll learn a couple here and there soon enough.

Fisher ruptured his patellar tendon before the 2011 season, and applied for medical hardship - just got the approval a week or so ago. Our O-line was young and pretty inexperienced in 2011, should be better this year and having him back helps.

Our QB, James Franklin, was a true soph in 2011. He should be much better his jr year. He's a true dual-threat, similar (if there is such a thing) to Tebow. Not the fastest, but very elusive.

Henry Josey was our best running back in 2011, went out with a really bad injury (torn ACL, MCL, meniscus and patellar tendon) in the texas game and unlikely to be back in 2012. He was averaging over 8 YPC when he went down, leading the conf and among top in the country. There is a stable of decent backs behind him, like Devion Moore and Marcus Hurphy, but we'll miss him big time. Franklin's versatility really helps here.

DGB gives us the star receiver we really haven't had since Jeremy Maclin and Danario Alexander. BUT, we have several good receivers to spread it around to, like TJ Moe, Marcus Lucas, LaDamien Washington and others. We'll miss Michael Egnew, who will be drafted, but Eric Waters should fill in well at the TE spot.

Sorry this was long winded, but that gives you a broad overview. We're a pretty balanced spread, averaging 244 yds rushing and 231 yds passing per game. Unlike some of the posters, here, I don't expect us to come in and light the world on fire. But I do think we'll be competitive. Planning to come to the Swamp for our game next year, and looking forward to it!
