The part about Lane Kiffin was funny though. He's like the girl you try to break up with who keeps insisting it's just a phase and you don't really want to break up with her. I LOL'd.

The best thing in that article was the fact that Mizzou offered little bro a scholly even after they knew he had been diagnosed with cancer. Tiger board was going ape shite over Arkansas (who offered him before he was diagnosed) and another school (who they thought was OU) offering a kid with cancer a scholly. Turns out they were the other scool.

Oh, and at least we know now who the leak came from, about Petrino bumping into DGB in San Antonio. Not surprised it was Oklahoma.

OU gets real nasty in recruiting and with their football program. See Big Red Motors and anything related to Brent Venables

Find some stairs. Find the booster. Make him fall up.

Didn't Alabama donate money to Dee Hart and Hasean's high school? Sounds like the same thing, no big deal.

Tracy Beckham, who has a master’s degree from the University of Kansas, was just as disappointed in the Jayhawks’ recruiting efforts under former coach Turner Gill, who was fired in November after two disastrous seasons. Kansas twice scheduled visits to see Dorial but canceled both, Tracy Beckham said. “They were just a mess,” Tracy Beckham said.

Wow. So DGB's mom was a KU alum and they couldn't even figure out what day he was going to visit. Talk about a FAIL by Gill. I wish Auburn had hired him.

Also funny the day after the mizz visit his dad said "he slept the entire way home."

This article says they had a serious talk on the way home.

John Beckham also had other concerns about Alabama in terms of his perception of the program.

“It may not be as kid friendly as some other schools,” he said.

Said Tracy Beckham, “With Nick Saban, I don’t mean this in a bad way, but it’s a business and he’s a workaholic.”

Yet they are cool with sending their son to play for an alcoholic.

And we did the best job of recruiting him. And Paul made the best pitch.

But our coach cusses. Mind you, he doesn't risk other people's lives. But he cusses. And that's a sin or something.

Sounds to me like they wanted him to go to Mizzou this whole time and were just looking for good ways to justify his decision.
