He wasn't going for the ball. There'd be only one other reason for that kind of action on a basketball court. I don't see making that comment as overboard at all.

All flagrant fouls involve excessive and unnecessary contact. They're obviously more likely to injure a player but has nothing to do with intent to injure.
You're a Kentucky fan and I'm an LSU fan. We may both be biased, but I just didn't see intent to injure him.

for comparison, hickey's foul a little later on in the game was a perfect example of a good hard foul.
