Alabama has recruited linebackers better than anyone since 2008, so I don't see why Foster switching would even have a huge effect on their defense. They always grab the best linebackers available.
This is what Bama guys should be focused on. Yes Foster is one of the best LB prospects in a long time, but Bama will be fine with or without him. I don't remember the last time they didn't sign a stellar LB class...

Lets hope Zo has better luck learning the playbook and how to work in a zone at Detroit than he did in Tuscaloosa. The kid had fantastic man-to-man skills but could not be counted on to be where he was supposed to be if an audible was called.
He was a true freshman.I remember watching his film the kid had a chance to be special .He was great at corner and very good with the ball in his hands and I was excited to be getting him.Seems like I remember his grandfather being an NFL player.
I wish his attitude would have been different .He probably would be a millionaire right now.At least he still got a shot.Thats all one can ask for.Wish him the best and hope hes grown up in the process.

If I focused on a spin, true or not, I would be conceding the possibility Reuben Foster ends up elsewhere.
Thus, I am not focused on that...

Dowtin would have been a fricking STUD next to Ogletree this past year. Too bad he was a dick to his teammates

He's already impressed Rex Ryan, he could easily lock up one of the backup ILB spots.

Ashburn (Va.) Stone Bridge five-star DE/OLB Jonathan Allen tells a source who spoke with him recently that he's changed his plans and is visiting UA this weekend. Allen was considering taking a visit to Ohio State this weekend, but was unable to make the trip.

I thought I heard somewhere that he wanted to make a decision sometime this month so that could be a possibility.

Hopefully he pulls the trigger.

Nearly 6 hours without a post in this thread? that's gota be a record.
Anyone have anything new on Walker? If we somehow land him, Allen and Nkemdiche, that'd be quite the haul for the DL.

Last I heard he postponed his decision to later this summer. Definitely a Bama-UF battle and by postponing his decision it definitely benefits UF more than Bama because of the UF influence around him.

Just watched 08 Bama vs Clemson.
The start of the Run. We played so many young guys that year, it still amazes me we went 12-0.
9 scholly seniors on the roster! No wonder UF out lasted us in the champ game, and Utah got out 21-0 on a team that never really had to play out of a hole.
Good Times

Marietta (Ga.) Kell cornerback Brendan Langley has had a busy spring. The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder has taken visits to Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee, and participated in several camps all while helping Kell to a Class 4A state championship in track this past weekend.
Langley earned an invite to The Opening earlier this spring as a result of his play at the Atlanta NFTC.
With track now over, Langley looks to turn his focus to the Longhorns’ spring practice and upcoming season.
“I’m just going to start up with football tomorrow (Monday), since I’ve been doing track. We won state- I ran the 100, 200, and 4x400,” said Langley.
“My goal is to be a leader this season- leading my team to whatever the case may be, whether it’s a win that night or a state championship in December. Also building lots of team camaraderie and getting closer as a team, because this is looking like a season that could be special.”
Several programs have been by Kell this spring to see the top 100 prospect.
“Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia should be coming tomorrow, Wisconsin, Florida, Vanderbilt, and Mississippi State just to name a few that have been by.”
Alabama defensive coordinator and area recruiter Kirby Smart checked on Langley, who has been keeping in contact with members of the Tide coaching staff as well as keeping an eye on what’s going on in Tuscaloosa.
“I just love Alabama. I love Coach Smart and I love Coach Saban- Coach (Scott) Cochran, the speed coach, they’re just all good people. The draft was definitely impressive. There was a poll that just came out that said they have the number two rated defense coming into the preseason, too.”
Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee have comprised the Peach State corner’s top three schools in varying orders for the majority of the spring and that remains the case.
“Nothing much has really changed (with top schools). Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, and South Carolina is my top five. My top three kind of switches between Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama and then Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. For the most part, those are my top three still.”
Langley, whose last visit was in mid-April for Georgia’s spring game, hopes to see some schools for the first time this summer.
“I probably will try to take some more visits starting the weekend of June 3rd. I might participate in some one day camps, but I’m not going to do any overnight ones. I’m actually going to try to go to some schools outside of my top group. That’s my top group for a reason, but I’ve pretty much already seen things there so I want to get a feel for everything else. I’ll probably go to Virginia Tech, UCLA, USC, Texas, and Clemson. That will probably be it.”
The four-star prospect also contends that he will likely announce his commitment prior to his team’s first game in August, which will be part of the Corky Kell Classic held in the Georgia Dome.
Langley has a grade of 94 from 247Sports and is ranked as the no. 9 cornerback in the nation and no. 98 prospect regardless of position.
