I think the argument applies even less to Auburn. AU has always signed guys from all over the southeast. The state of Alabama leans about 70-75% pro-UA. The football talent in any given year generally follows that statistic. Auburn didn't build its football fortunes of Alabama talent alone. AU has always been at its best when they're recruiting Georgia and Florida at a high rate.
