It was the MNC, and its not even close. I don't even understand why this thread was made.

What don't you understand? 2 very good teams played each other twice in the same season with each team winning one. And you say the 2 wins can't even be compared? Why not?

They can. However, bama fans and only a few level headed LSU fans are willing to compare the two right now. By November of this year, some Bama fans will have come back down from the clouds and many LSU fans will have climbed out of the pitty pot. This topic will be discussed ad nauseum by the time the next Bama-LSU matchup rolls around.

Dominating a team in the BCSCG (win by 21, shutout, cross the 50 once, less the 100 yards total offense, complete box score embarrassment)is clearly a more impressive win than a 3 point overtime win in a great closely contested game. LSU beat Alabama in a very important regular season game and then Alabama embarrassed LSU in the national championship game.

Because the first game was evenly matched. The second game was a non-lubed, bite-the-pillow-i'm-going-in-dry arse raping. Therefore, the second game was more impressive.
