I won't apologize for these instances no matter which school is spurned or benefits. These supposed "men" are 18 and should honor their committment. If you arent willing to live through with your choice do not make one until you are certain.

It is a verbal commitment that neither party is obligated to honor until pen is put to paper. Those are the rules of the game and everyone knows them. I don't have a problem with him changing his mind. I think he should have had the maturity to handle it better and speak with the coaches about it, but I'm not going to demonize him for making a poor decision about how to handle this situation at the age of 18.

His parents should be blamed as much as him. No way I'd let my kid do what he did. Just completely classless.

This is pretty close to how I feel. It is not the end of the world when a teenager changes his allegiance. So he said he was going to AU and changed his mind during the silent period. No guarantees in this recruiting game and yes he might have handled it differently, but then I am not privy to all that is going on in his life. I am ready to move on and in fact have been ready for a while.

I must say since I made the choice not to invest so much of myself into the recruiting world. Life has been so much better and these type of situations have little effect.
