On paper, if you look at the results, it was easily the best team in the history of LSU football.

The talent level despite the scholarship limit, the best defense in ppg in the modern era. I don't think you could find a Bama team excluding 2009 that could stay within 30 points of this team, assuming McCarron was playing at his bowl game level. I don't get the 'era' comment. You've won 8 (maybe 9, I forget) championships since 1985, are you trying to pump that up?
